DISCOVER LOS TUXTLAS

One region,
many landscapes.

In southern Veracruz, Los Tuxtlas brings together rainforest, lagoons, wetlands, mangroves and coast. The scenery changes as you move from trail to boat, or from lagoon to sea.

Catemaco and Sontecomapan are two gateways to the region. Mangroove starts here: small-group trips that let you discover nature while we coordinate the transport.

THE LOS TUXTLAS RAINFOREST

Walk.
Listen.
Look again.

The humidity, leaves and sounds make walking here a different experience. Follow the trails, notice the details and leave yourself time to pause.

On our Rainforest and Wildlife trip, a biologist joins the tour to help you look for wildlife and observe nature. You do not need to turn your trip into an athletic challenge to enjoy it.

SONTECOMAPAN MANGROVES

The journey
also flows by water.

Explore the Sontecomapan mangroves by boat. Roots and vegetation create a landscape unlike the rainforest trails: here, your perspective shifts as you glide along the water.

A Sontecomapan mangrove tour lets you observe the surroundings and look for wildlife, without guaranteed sightings. It is another way to discover the Los Tuxtlas wetlands.

With Mangroove, this is an optional tour, subject to time, weather and capacity. It is confirmed separately and is not included in the base price.

Rocky shore and boats along the coast of Roca Partida, Los Tuxtlas

ROCA PARTIDA, VERACRUZ

The rainforest has
a coastline.

Roca Partida adds sea, coastline and rock formations to the Los Tuxtlas landscape. Discover another side of the region on a journey by the water.

The Roca Partida tour is an optional extra when it fits the itinerary. We check sea conditions, weather, time and availability before arranging it.

Optional tour. It is not included in the base price and is not guaranteed on every departure.

CATEMACO AND LOS TUXTLAS

Another window
into the region.

Catemaco offers a glimpse of Los Tuxtlas: lakeside scenery, local life and a stop that can complement your rainforest and Sontecomapan itinerary.

Our three-day packages offer an optional visit with transport and a tasting. Dinner and alcohol cost extra. If you prefer to stay and rest, ask about the arrangements for your departure.

WILDLIFE AND BIODIVERSITY

We look for wildlife.
Sightings are not guaranteed.

These animals live in the wild. Weather, time of day and local conditions affect what we can observe. Birds, primates and other inhabitants are part of a landscape that follows its own rhythm.

We observe from a respectful distance. The unexpected is part of the journey.
